One of the things I’m most looking forward to about my upcoming trip to SE Asia is the FOOD. Today I took a stab at authentic Thai cooking (no pre-packaged sauces) and it was the most amazing thing I’ve eaten in months.
Steamed jasmine rice with peppers, onions, carrots and giant prawns…for the sauce, I cooked together a can of coconut milk and 2 tbsp of green curry paste, 1 tbsp fish sauce, and 1 tsp of Palm sugar. Then I added diced lime leaves and red chiles. Cooked it all together in a wok, threw it on top of rice, and cried tears of joy. Amazing.
All inspired to take a Thai cooking class now. 87 days! #thaicooking #foodporn #getinmybelly
